CARDIOLOGY

CORONARY ANGIOGRAPHY

Coronary angiography is a procedure that uses contrast dye to detect blockages in the coronary arteries that are caused by plaque buildup. This procedure is used to diagnose coronary heart disease and coronary microvascular disease after chest pain, sudden cardiac arrest

CORONARY STENT PLACEMENT

A coronary artery stent is a small, metal mesh tube that expands inside a coronary artery. A stent is often placed during or immediately after angioplasty. It helps prevent the artery from closing up again. A drug-eluting stent has medicine embedded in it that helps prevent the artery from closing in the long term.

RHYTHM DISORDERS AND TREATMENT

Catheter ablation is a procedure that uses radiofrequency energy (similar to microwave heat) to destroy a small area of heart tissue that is causing rapid and irregular heartbeats. Destroying this tissue helps restore your heart’s regular rhythm. The procedure is also called radiofrequency ablation.
